Description
In order to minimise harm to the public caused by lost radioactive sources, useful methods for locating these must exist. In this thesis, mathematics and statistics is used to develop new and improve old methods for locating lost radioactive sources. These methods include visualisation of measurement data, imaging of radiation fields and optimization of measurement systems.
