Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (“Contract Terms”) apply to purchases from Lund University, Media-Tryck.
General
Media-Tryck sells books in different formats via the internet to its customers (“Customer”) in Sweden, and to around thirty other countries, primarily within Europe. Customers may either be private individuals over eighteen (18) years of age (“Private Customers”) or businesses, organizations and public institutions (jointly ”Business Customers”). Sales are made via the website www.bokshop.lu.se, or according to an individually signed agreement.
By completing an order on the website, or by signing an agreement as described above, the Customer accepts the Contract Terms and, where applicable, the processing of personal data according to the conditions in the Contract Terms.
Media-Tryck shall not be held liable for any errors in the product information or in any other aspect of www.bokshop.lu.se
Once the Customer has placed an order, Media-Tryck does not have the right to change their terms and conditions for that particular order.
Prices and Fees
Applicable product price, including VAT, is the price that is indicated at the time of the order at www.bokshop.lu.se. Media-Tryck reserves the right to modify product prices without prior notice.
Private Customers residing within the EU pay Swedish VAT, whereas Private Customers residing outside the EU do not pay Swedish VAT. Foreign Business Customers within the EU are charged Swedish VAT in cases where the Customer has not provided a correct VAT registration number. Business Customers outside the EU will not be charged Swedish VAT.
VAT on printed books is 6%.
Shipping Charges for Delivery within Sweden
Shipping charges will be added at delivery. Current charges are listed at www.bokshop.lu.se
Shipping Charges for Delivery outside of Sweden
For deliveries abroad, a shipping charge is added based on Media-Tryck’s costs for the shipment, and, if applicable, import and customs duties. This charge will be levied per physical delivery and not per order.
Orders
Orders can only be made via www.bokshop.lu.se unless a special agreement has been made before the order is placed.
All communication from Media-Tryck will be sent by email, except for the specifically stated situation in the paragraph “Right of Withdrawal”. Messages from Media-Tryck will be sent to the email address the Customer has provided when placing the order. It is the Customer’s responsibility to monitor their email once an order has been placed.
A binding purchase agreement will only take effect once Media-Tryck has confirmed the order by email. Media-Tryck shall not be held liable in cases where ordered products are sold out. If an ordered product is out of stock, the order of the product will be canceled.
The Customer has the right to cancel the order fully or partially before receiving email confirmation that the order has been expedited.
Customer Registration
- The Customer provides a national identification number (Private Customer) or a corporate identification number (Business Customer), as well as a delivery address
- The Customer chooses and registers a username and password
- The Customer approves the Contract Terms and, for a Private Customer, gives consent to personal data processing
It is the Customer’s responsibility to provide correct and complete information in the shopping cart.
Private Customer Payments
Within Sweden
For deliveries within Sweden, payments can be made by VISA, MasterCard/EuroCard and American Express card.
When paying with a card, the Customer must provide the card number, expiry date and CVC number. Card processing is performed using SSL encryption via PCI-certified DIBS.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to make sure that sufficient funds are available on the card until Media-Tryck has deducted the purchase amount for the order. In the event that funds are insufficient, or that the payment is not successful for any other reason, Media-Tryck is entitled to cancel the order or invoice the amount.
Outside of Sweden
For deliveries outside of Sweden, payments can be made by VISA, MasterCard/EuroCard and American Express card, unless otherwise specifically agreed.
Business Customer Payments
Within Sweden
For deliveries within Sweden, payments can be made by VISA, MasterCard/EuroCard and American Express card, or by invoice (in which case complete invoice information including organization number is required).
When paying with a card, the Customer must provide the card number, expiry date and CVC number. Card processing is performed using SSL encryption via PCI-certified DIBS.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to make sure that sufficient funds are available on the card until Media-Tryck has deducted the purchase amount for the order. In the event that funds are insufficient, or that the payment is not successful for any other reason, Media-Tryck is entitled to cancel the order or invoice the amount.
Outside of Sweden
For deliveries outside of Sweden, payments can be made by VISA, MasterCard/EuroCard and American Express card, unless otherwise specifically agreed.
Delivery
Delivery will normally be made by parcel or letter to a Private Customer, and by business parcel or letter to a Business Customer.
If the delivery time is estimated to be longer than originally stated on www.bokshop.lu.se, Media-Tryck will inform the Customer by email, at which point the Customer has the right to cancel the order by email before it is expedited.
If the Customer has ordered products with different delivery time classes, delivery shall take place in accordance with the slowest delivery class in the order.
If the delivery is divided into more shipments than Customer has chosen, the Customer shall not be charged further shipping costs.
Media-Tryck is responsible for the merchandise while it is being delivered to the Customer. The Customer is responsible for the merchandise while it is being returned to Media-Tryck.
If the Customer does not collect a shipment, or if a shipment is returned due to incorrectly registered information, Media-Tryck will currently charge a fee of eighty (80) SEK as compensation for shipping and handling costs. In the case of international returns, Media-Tryck will currently charge the Customer all shipping charges for the shipment, as well as a fee of fifty (50) SEK as compensation for handling and ancillary costs.
Right of Withdrawal
Private Customer, and Business Customer where specifically agreed upon, shall be entitled to cancel a purchase within 14 days from the day the Customer received the product. A notice of the exercise of the Right of Withdrawal must be given within 14 days from the day the product was received by the Customer. Return postage and shipping costs shall be paid by the Customer. Returns must not be sent COD (cash on delivery). The product must be returned in essentially unaltered condition. If the Customer would like to return a product, he or she shall inform Media-Tryck of this by email to: bookorder@service.lu.se.
If the Customer uses his or her right of return of a product, Media-Tryck shall, without delay and within thirty (30) days, refund the Customer’s cost for the order (including applicable shipping fees). The time period will be counted from the day Media-Tryck received notice from the Customer regarding exercising the right of return.
The Right of Return does not apply to:
- Uncollected parcels
Before the product is returned, the Customer shall contact customer service to obtain information regarding the return number and the return address.
Notice of return must contain at a minimum the following information:
- Order number
- Title of the products that the Customer wants to return
Returned products must be unused and undamaged. However, this does not apply if the product has been damaged or altered during delivery to the Customer.
Customer Complaint
If Media-Tryck has delivered the wrong product or a damaged product, or if the shipment has been lost during transport, the Customer shall give notice of complaint to Media-Tryck.
Complaints shall be sent by email to: bookorder@service.lu.se
Complaints shall be made within a reasonable time after the Customer noticed or could be expected to have noticed the fault. The Private Customer’s right to make a complaint expires no later than three (3) years after the purchase.
The Customer Complaint must contain at a minimum the following information:
- Order number
- Title of the products for which the complaint is made
A return can not be made until the complaint has been registered and the instructions for the return have been issued by Media-Tryck. The Customer has the right to return faulty products at Media-Tryck’s expense, provided that the Customer follows Media-Tryck’s instructions. Returns must not be sent COD (cash on delivery).
If the complaint is approved, the Customer may:
- Receive a new, error-free product at no additional cost; or
- Keep the product and receive an agreed-upon price reduction; or
- Cancel the purchase, after which the product is returned and the payment is refunded.
Responsibility
Apart from the information stated in the Contract Terms and, for Private Customer, the Swedish Consumer Protection Law, Media-Tryck shall not be held responsible for any errors or delays, and Media-Tryck is furthermore not liable for any direct or indirect damage.
Processing of Personal Data
Media-Tryck processes name and address information, as well as other information the Customer has provided when registering and ordering. Media-Tryck further processes data regarding the Customer’s purchase, total purchase amount, and number of purchased products. The purpose of the processing is to fulfill the agreement with Customer.
Personal data is processed for the duration of the relationship between Customer and Media-Tryck.
Processing of personal data is conducted in accordance with the Personal Data Act.
Customers are entitled, once per calendar year, to apply in writing to ask for information regarding the personal data processed. Customers are also entitled to demand correction of their personal data.
By agreeing to the Contract Terms, the Customer consents to the processing of personal data in accordance with the terms listed above.
Cookies
To make purchases via our website, your browser must be set to accept cookies. Cookies are used to give you as a visitor access to different functions on the website, i.e. the shopping cart, repetition of earlier searches, and in technical communication with third-party services. The cookie does not contain any personal data.

Dispute
All purchases from Media-Tryck are governed by Swedish law. Any dispute shall be tried in a Swedish court of law.
